    Dr. Skelly is an award-winning renewable energy-building science leader and educator with more than 30 years experience in the field. As an educator, he has created and presented a wide range of programs for many learners including: presented educational programs for the United Nations, conferences, and schools including: serving as educational leader of a multi-disciplinary student team that won First Prize in the National Electric Vehicle Championship (Solar/Hydrogen Fuel Cell vehicle category); and developing Model Urban Sustainable Communities program for the City of New York. He has been active in policy and program development including: serving 14 years on the Board of Directors of Northeast Sustainable Energy Association (NESEA.org); 7 years as an advisor to the State of New Jersey Commission on Environmental Education; and currently on the State Environmental Literacy Plan Committee. He is past-President of the Alliance for New Jersey Environmental Education (ANJEE.org), recipient of US EPA Award for Excellence and North American Association for Environmental Education Award for State Affiliate of the Year. He served as Co-Chair of the Commission for North American Association for Environmental Education. He has served as a Trustee of the Science and Mathematics Coalition. He has been actively involved in a range of renewable energy ventures and projects in energy conservation, solar, hydrogen, fuel cell, and hydroelectric fields including: Principle Investigator/Project Director America’s first home to be fully powered by a hybrid solar/hydrogen system; and first hydrogen fuel cell vehicle for the Mohegan Nation (__mohegan.nsn.us__). He has served on the Task Force for statewide Sustainable Jersey program and US Green Building Council-NJ Sustainable Schools Committee. He is Trustee and Treasurer of the Crossroads of the American Revolution National Heritage Area Association (__revolutionarynj.org__); and led the legislative effort establishing the Bordentown City Historic Preservation Commission and has served as one of its first Commissioners.
